Gwendolyn Sherman

I attendedn Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School in upstate NY where I had the opportunity to work with many different artistic media including paint, clay, wood, metal and stained glass.

I joined a local Life Drawing group at sixteen years old and was hooked on the human figure, which has remained my favorite drawing subject ever since. I took an arts course in Paros, Greece where I studied still life and life drawing, black and white photography and oil painting. I also apprenticed with a graphic designer in Chatham, NY and learned the basics of logo design and newspaper layout. I am self-taught in Adobe Photoshop, which I have used for  twenty years, and Adobe Illustrator.

Drawing is the thing that I most prefer to do for work; it also helps me to process life events on a personal level. I greatly enjoy working with people, taking their ideas and concepts and forming them into dynamic and exciting imagery. Get in touch if you'd like to work together.

Thanks for looking!
